Woodturning is the craft of making objects from wood using a lathe and hand-held turning tools. You only need a small range of tools to get started, and woodturning can become an addictive, feel-good craft once you start building your confidence. It takes a great deal of practice and skill to become an accomplished woodturner, and requires copious amounts of concentration but it does inspire you to expand your imagination and experiment with different tools and techniques.
